She specialises in mathematical modelling, simulation, decision support systems, and statistical analysis to address supply chain problems, specifically in transport, retail, and manufacturing sectors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Her recent research focuses on the circular economy and robotic automation of end-of-life decisions for a range of products (RoboTriage). RoboTriage builds on the learnings from the CIRC\u20acUIT Marie Curie Innovative Training Network.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Emel\u2019s earlier research focused on food supply chain management, with one project (SAFE-Q) on minimising the waste in food supply chains and another (U-TURN) on logistics collaboration practices for the distribution of food in the cities.
